At almost 63 years old this band has given me "new" music that i had almost given up finding, haunting melodies and lyrics that when combined tell the story of the human condition, love, hope, lost love, the emptiness that we all experience from time to time.
I am thankful that there are real songwriters out there, young people who have tapped into the soul of music.

So in "I Lied" he left the girl (told her he'll come back for her but never did). But it seems here he regrets it and wishes he could go back to when she loved him like she used to (because at the end of I Lied, she admitted she also fell out of love with him). Gosh how sad π.
