I played in the 3rd war of Armageddon campaign at Lenton that year. When it was announced that Tycho had fallen and he was the first big character death of any released miniature GW had done the hall went silent to the shock of everyone including the staff. They really should kill off more and pave the way for others to come through.

I started following Warhammer 40k sometime in the last year and I luckily came across Tycho in Dawn of War Unification Mod
Always had admiration for the sons of Sanguinius so his gear and half mask had me intrigued about him. It was nice to put some lore behind the character, thank you for another great video.

Great reading and love the way Tycho fell he was a bright light for the Angels and lost to the curse. A reminder that even the most noble and honorable hero can fall.

I remember these models… Characters used to come with banner poles, and you could photocopy a hero’s banner from the codex or White Dwarf.
What’s weird is that they didn’t have metallic gold paint 20 years ago?! I thought we did… I know I had silver, copper and bronze at least
