The magic of Röyksopp is that the tunes latch on to your memory. You may have heard a Röyksopp tune a long time a go, but you never remembered the name and you haven't heard it since then. Whabaaam ten years later clicking around youtube and you find it. Nostalgia rising, a hint of melancholy and a dash of satisfaction. I love this group.

There are days when I find myself listening to this song repetitively. The song reminds me of a certain time, a certain feeling. Within that feeling is sadness, but not overwhelming. Coincidently, I first started listening to this song when I was with my ex girlfriend, after we broke up I couldn't bare to hear it. Now when I listen to it, I do not feel that same sadness but a different feeling. Nostalgia.

The first time I ever had a bad trip, this song came on. I was panicking trying to distract myself while hysterically having one of the worst panic attacks of my life. I was fading in and out of time, trying my absolute best to ground myself. This song came on and it was the only thing that made me able to concentrate on something other than how delirious I was. I listen to it as much as I can. I just have a weirdly close relationship with this melody and how much it helped me on one of the worst nights of my life.
