This happened to me. I fell in love with this girl from my old school, a beautiful light ginger haired girl with dreamy brown eyes. My feelings for her slipped out once when we were talking. She told me she liked me back… and even though it all happened to fast I believed her. We became a couple a few weeks later and life couldn’t be better. We kissed. We hung out everyday. We hugged all the time. Then one day, I was going into the girls locker room to get changed, (we both did Karate together) and I saw her with a boy. They were kissing. I couldn’t believe what I had saw. I felt as if I was going to pass out. I ran out the locker room crying. When the teacher asked me what was wrong, I sped out the place. I couldn’t believe the girl I loved with all my heart was cheating on me. When she texted me later asking about where I went, still flirting like nothing had happened, I told her everything I had saw with her and that boy. She said she didn’t want me to find out but she wasn’t into girls. She just loved how it felt when someone liked her. She didn’t even seem sorry. Honestly, even a year later I’m still so mad at her. I feel for Marie. I hope everyone here meets a better person than my ex.

am i the only one who’s actually quite fond of the ending? sure i would’ve loved it if they ended up together (as we don’t see much of that often), but i do admire that they chose to take the more realistic side of first loves, of young love. if anything, that wasn’t a sad ending at all, but i suppose that does depend on how you choose to see it. from how i saw it marie was miserable for most of the time that she was with her, and i’m glad to see the scene where she was floating in the pool with her best friend, as i think it represents acceptance and her finally coming to terms that she just couldn’t truly have floriane.
they were both so immensely young, she has so much love for her and the other one took advantage of that (which might be caused by immaturity or perhaps it’s just simply in her nature). but then again, it also isn’t difficult for me to understand, perhaps not fully but some part of floriane, because at her age she probably hasn’t fully grasped her self yet.
although it may have not been in the same level, but i prefer to think that the love between them was mutual.

marie (the brown haired girl) deserved so much better. floraine (blonde hair girl), was fully aware of marie’s feelings but completely toyed her. although marie was kind of her only real friend, she used her to her own benefit. she knew marie would come save her at any moment she pleased, and while she appreciated it, she didn’t give much consideration to marie’s well-being or emotions. she’d make her wait for hours, or do favours, only to keep leading her on.
