'Resource management' undersells this game - it's a knife's-edge diplomacy simulator as well. The original FP was more of a lump-sum happiness model, while in this, the societal effects are nuanced to a greater degree by the factional interplay. So many ways for the city to fall, so many stories to experience. This is going to be a good series.

Watching you ignore all the red notifications and pop up warnings reminds me of City Planner Plays doing landscape and detailing as his city literally burns to the ground in the background. Or how Biffa infected ignored the numerous polluted water notifications all his beavers got infected and died!

Remember Niv! You can use Overdrive and the scouts die when outside in a Storm. Also Transport Hubs might be good choice to keep the workforce balance up.

I think what happened to the coal is that the mine was destroyed and the rioters also destroyed your stockpile directly before the whiteout... happy times. You can see the coal changing from "full" to spending at 23:56 when you clicked away the first message about the riots. And 30 sec later you were missing all your coal. Maybe you could have quickly promised them something to stop them from destroying your stockpile?

I'm not a fan of the regular game speed to be this super fast. Always liked to see the people moving about and doing there things in the first game, this "super speed" with days going by in just a couple seconds seems a lot less immersive.

interesting thing about the Whiteouts from me doing a second playthrough: while they all share some mechanics (being unable to do anything in the Frostlands) they randomly pull different effects. For example, my first Whiteout set the temperature to -100, but the second one would set the temperature to -60 and make it impossible to cut wood EDIT: The techs that cost nothing are Law unlocks specifically, so their cost is that after you research them, you have to sacrifice a 10-week cooldown on activating the Law (maybe even more if you fail to pass it)
