Hila said exactly what I was thinking, that Vaush uses big words to sound smart but then uses them to construct the dumbest arguments. The whole 'rule utilitarian vs act utilitarian' thing is so insane to me. If you were just trying to explain rule/act utilitarianism, you could have used so many better and relatable examples. Like, smoking for instance. "You may know someone who lived to be 100 and smoked a pack a day, but that doesn't mean smoking is good for you" is such a more comprehensive, tame and relatable way to explain what you're talking about. The fact that Vaush turns it into a discussion about molesting children is very sus to me, and it's extra weird considering how often he brings this shit up.

Keffals tried to talk down to me about the north of Ireland. Despite me being born here, spending half my life during the troubles, and living here for almost fifty years. She had lived here less than a year at the time, yet claimed to be an expert on the troubles, and know people involved in it.
We are a tiny country, everybody was involved in some way or other, regardless of if they wanted to be. My home town is right on the border, and one of the hardest hit during that time. At one stage we had 300 bombs in five years, that's an average of one every six days. Never mind all the shooting, mortars, and RPGs fired round the place.
It's not that uncommon to see headstones built into garden walls where somebody was shot dead in the street here. In fact, there's one forty odd yards from my house, which I grew up in. And they recently built a memorial for the fiftieth anniversary of that guy being shot dead in my street. Sixty minutes and a load of other shows did segments on my home town round the time I was born.
Keffals thinks she's an expert on everything, and if you disagree, it's because you're transphobic. Which is sort of ironic because whilst I may be a cis, straight man. I know lots of people who are part of the LBGTQ+ community here, some of whom are activists, and one who has written five books about being part of that community here. Each one based on what it was like to be LGBTQ+ during the five decades they lived here. Oh, BTW, they also were one of the main organizers for Derry's first ever pride march back in the day. Sure Keffals, whatever.

I just want to say- thank you for this. I've been in anime fandoms for years, and have been made to feel like I'm "just a prude" by so many people because I think loli/shotacon are inexcusable.
I stopped looking to date male anime fans altogether because I had several instances of dudes acting like I was their "real life loli" (both as a child and an adult) because I looked really young for my age. It destroyed my self image and esteem for years, and I'm only now getting the confidence to talk to men again. It's a horrible subculture full of horrible people.
