i really hope no one is actually upset with lake for what she did for him and his mom. yes she broke his trust, but it was a selfless act and felix needed the help. that’s what you do for the people you love.

She was so dang selfless this season, and he did her so dirty and moved on so fast. I do believe Lucy and Pilar are rebounds for them and while I do ship Lake and felix together, Lake deserves better.

One thing I found very interesting in S02 was the outcomes after Felix told both Lake and Pillar of his money situation. Pillar gave Felix the money straight up (giving up her opportunity of seeing Billie Eilish) and Lake, although clearly being more economically comfortable than Pillar, sat down with Felix and helped him finish his work so that he could earn his own money (in turn not being there for Mia which would have been disastrous knowing that your female friend is alone at some college party which doesn't say much for her loyalty to Mia.. I mean check up on her please!) but, forgiving all of that (cause it did present an opportunity for Victor and Mia to get some closure) it showed me a lot of growth on Lakes individual character. Her "we" over "me" mentality was a game changer and in a way I'm not partial to who her romantic SO is anymore. I would root for her with Lucy or Felix because I'm just rooting for her 😊. Love each characters growth this season. ❤️

SOMEONE TELL ME I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT DOESN’T LIKE HIM AND PILAR TOGETHER. I feel like they are good friends but him and lake are just IT 🥺. Idk if it’s just me but I feel like Pilar and Felix just got caught up in certain moments but Lake truly helped him. Like Pilar would say she wanted to help him which I guess she did but Lake truly did something to help. Idk that’s just my opinion

I feel like the problem is mostly with Felix, his love for Lake wasn't strong enough even after knowing that Lake's "betrayal" was actually a selfless act. It wasn't sufficient enough for him to not catch feelings for Pilar. Their love (more on Felix) were hinged on young and immature love, which is one of many things that the show is showcasing. It may be rooted to the fact that its his first time in a relationship, or that handling romantic affairs with Lake while worrying about his mom and having to shoulder their expenses were a bit too much to him handle. Hence, why he was easily "attracted" by Pilar's efforts when he was in need of help, which again could've been prevented or addressed if he had told Lake early on. Proper communication is a common yet easily overlooked factor in nurturing a relationship, this is evident to the other couple, Benji and Victor where the former hid the one thing that Victor should've known about. My only hope is, even if that is the case, a second chance wouldn't hurt, but I'd gladly accept if that would not happen in s3 since Felix would learn and mature from what's about to come, the same for Lake, only that they will grow apart now.

Lake is not to blame and neither is Felix. She broke his trust for his sake and Felix was scared. The mother got better and Felix will forever be grateful... But he got lucky that his mother toughened up and got better.
Also, I both love and hate how Selena's Lose You To Love Me fits so much with them. And with Venji!

I also do think lake needs to take some time alone and not in a relationship, she put her heart into her relationship with felix just to get it broken, I'm sure she dies a little inside when she hears about pilar and felix.
