The fact that we're taught a bunch of useless stuff in school but we're never taught how to love ourselves. This song made me cry and was relatible in so many ways. I hope that anyone reads this can relate. It feels like it will never get better. Ive had depression since 9. I'm currently 12. My parents dont know. They wouldnt care anyways. Edit: Thanks for all the likes and comments. Everyone in the comments is so ecuraging even to each other and I love that. This a safe place. Say want you need, we're here to listen.

They expect us to say ‘sorry’ When they’re the ones who caused the problem.

“We’re not crazy romantics but know what a heart is and know when it’s cracked it really burns” I really relate to this and it hit me hard

I’ve been listening to this since I was 13, in 8th grade. Now I’m 16 and in 11th grade. Nothing feels real anymore, I really wish I haven’t been struggling since I started listening to this but unfortunately nothing has changed other than a little more support. It really hits home when I realize I’m now 16. When I was 13, I kept saying that I won’t ever make it to 16. And now I’m here.

parents sometimes don’t realize that we’re trying to stay alive. they don’t realize how stressed out we are and that just because we cry it doesn’t mean we’re ungrateful or crazy. i feel sorry for anyone who has to suffer through anything like this, because i can relate. :(

I want to be a parent someday that my teen can come to when her heart’s broken; that she can call her friend. I hope I never forget how hard it is to be a teenager, and how much we just need our parents to listen and care. ❤️

parents: “it’s that damn phone!” little do they know that phone helps me through so much. music, friends, videos to make me laugh, etc.

If your child is crying, don't call them dramatic or emotional. THERE'S ALWAYS A REASON FOR TEARS, WHETHER YOUR KID KNOWS IT OR NOT.

I wish parents would take the time to think about how their children feel before they get mad at them

Strict parents- “I’m just trying to protect you” CONGRATS! Now you have child that lies to you 24/7 and isn’t comfortable telling you stuff.

For people that's depressed, anxious or downright s*icidal music is one of the best ways to pour out one's hate and anger or sadness I used it alot when I was battling depression and extreme social anxiety. I'm not here to defend parents who mistreat their kids because I was mistreated too but from their perspective they're disciplining their children when they think they're "Going out of line" not because they just feel like it. This is usually solved by proper communication cuz at that point what's more to loose? And you get everything to gain. For people suffering through mental health don't give up on your life. Or yourself but fight through it. The light at the end of the tunnel is near and may God bless you and have a nice day
