hey Ollie, I understand what you're speaking out completely. I work so much, working so hard trying not to fail, depressed, on medication for depression and anxiety and i have a drinking issue. We're in the same boat. It's so important to keep TRYING to look the positives in life even if it's hard and being real with yourself. Yes, it's all a part of growing up <3 But we are ALWAYS growing up at ANY age. You're not alone though, (27, y/o female)

Just found this song, and it captures the last year of my life perfectly. I worked so hard at the first teaching job of my career that I literally began to lose hair. My girlfriend wanted me to spend more time with her, but I was getting home so late and was always feeling so stressed that I kept putting her off, distancing myself from her. When I was only a month away from the end of school, she wound up breaking up with me because of it. We had been together for 8 years, and it was the first real relationship I had ever been in. It hurt so much that I literally cried myself to and from work, though my students and co-workers only ever saw me smile. Now, almost a year later, I've been doing so much better. I'm slowly getting back the hair I lost, and while I still miss her, I'm not thinking about her nearly as much. I'm working a job much closer to home with co-workers and students who don't drive me nuts. In fact, they make me smile -- I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I'm still not ready for another relationship yet, but I can feel myself slowly getting there.
Long story short, though things may get to the point where you feel like you want to die, like I did, as long as you keep focused, life will get better.
