Pusher - Capitalism is Ruining Our Music

The idea that artists are being mobilised to make ripoff hit songs for labels to survive is kinda like artist wage slavery. Eventually many of us hope to be economically free to create the art we believe in but the friggin man makes us struggle as individuals to survive. Hope y'all are doing well.

Under a planned economy, very few people would even be musical artists

Very true there's probably millions of songs out there that haven't been found or published thanks to corpos not thinking it's gonna be a hit or make enough money even though people can still enjoy the music though I do like YouTube because it created a platform for said struggle YouTube problem of not having a great algorithm or not publishing every song so people can see is the corpo metaphor here YouTube would be better if it didn't have corporate involvement and I bet you would have Waaaayy more views and followers

Capitalism ruins everything. I am poor so if my music gained any attention, I'd be obligated to extract money from people to survive, rather than crafting it with love for the community. I'd then have to sell the rights to a greedy corporation to bring it to market and they'll lock it up behind pay-walls and DRM- intellectual property sucks, if I write good music, people should be free to enjoy it, copy it or alter it in any way they wish without paying royalties, just like if I invent a promising new cancer drug, it should be for everyone, not for those who can afford the price a drug company places on your life, same with food, housing, heating, clothing and on and on. I'd feel better working to improve my community than working for profit. Competition is fine, but it shouldn't be the backbone of the economy, we need more cooperation!

I liked your music on soundcloud and that's why I subscribed but i hate this kind of content It seems that you are taking advantage of the audience you have for your music to express your opinions, per without expressing them as opinions but as affirmations(As if you had absolute knowledge) I unsubscribe (yeah I know nobody cares I just wanted to say it)
