Okay Satoru Iwata inventing the compression tool just to fit a second region has got to be one of the most impressive power moves in video gaming history

Iwata was a real treasure to the gaming industry. He really touched a lot of people's lives through his work. I always loved his saying, “On my business card, I am a corporate president. In my mind, I am a game developer. But in my heart, I am a gamer.” With Iwata's passing and Reggie retiring it was an end of an era, but with people like Miyamoto, Sakurai and Aonuma still in the scene, Nintendo is still strong as ever.

Met him last Thursday at the Apple store. I've been an avid follower for so long, so this felt like a golden moment. Not only did he happly take a selfie with me, but he also cracked some hilarious joke. What struck me the most is His off-screen personality mirrors his on-screen , probably that is the secret sauce to his immense popularity. Love form 🇱🇰🇱🇰

I’ve always liked Nintendo’s modest executive compensation. That’s a great template for the Fortune 500 to follow.

It makes sense for Nintendo to use "Ultrahand" (an ability to pick up, move, and rotate objects) in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom which dates back to the arm-like toy developed in the early years of Nintendo History.

Nintendo consoles always had the worst graphics, but the most fun 👌 no doubt about that

6:44 Arun saying "Tinkle popo" is something I never thought I needed, the commentary is on point

This was great. For my 6th birthday and Christmas gift combined I got an NES with the Robot and Gyromite and shortly after we got Mario. And over the last almost 40 years I've always come back to Nintendo for Zelda, Castlevania and Mario for each console or handlheld release. They've given me so many smiles and good times over the years.

The reason I adored Nintendo was for all these small Easter Eggs I kept discovering all the time. I remember my younger self when I found out that by simultaneously pressing L and R on my Nintendo DS while pressing A to start "New Super Mario Bros," I could play the game as Luigi. My excitement was indescribable.

The best "Easter egg" I have seen is the clock on the Nintendo DS makes a ticking sound. It's right under our noses but you don't notice it until you listen carefully.
