As a parent who has lost a little girl to brain cancer, this sickens me. My little one was diagnosed the week of her 7th birthday. She passed away 2 months after turning 9. It was 100% her decision if she wanted to shave her head at any point. Because she’s a girl, she waited until she literally only had a few whispy hairs left. Then we all shaved our heads. Me included. Which made her feel a little better. We NEVER treated her like this, and she WAS sick. I feel for this poor girl who had to go thru this. Sending love her way💚💚💚

As a mother who has actually went through this and lost my 6 year daughter to it .
This makes me unbelievably sick !
My daughter fought 16 months and took her last breath in her sleep while I laid on her chest hearing her heartbeat getting slower and slower then stop as her beautiful soul left her body . I miss her every single day .
It never shocks me how sick people can be .

A PSA: I'm a cancer mom, and I worry sometimes that people think I've faked my daughter's cancer because she has a thick, full head of shoulder-length hair! She was bald during the intensive part of her treatment. Her hair started growing back in the maintenance phase of treatment, which is common. Her chemo dose is low enough that it hasn't been causing any hair loss. (ironically she has the thickest hair of all my kids right now!) But a child can definitely grow hair during their cancer treatment, so don't let that alone make you skeptical of other families you may be aware of.
You would never know that my strong, energetic daughter was a Leukemia patient unless we told you.

My grandma thrived when my mother was dying from cancer. She “adopted” us (really became our guardian so she could get money from the government), and any time anyone would ask about us she’d go into this savior complex. But she was really abusive behind closed doors. It’s insane how parents can be happy about their child having an illness - fake or real.

I’m from Springfield, Ohio.. super close to Urbana.. and my mom hired “Teresa Millbrandt” at her local eye glasses store to be a sales associate and Teresa won everyone over and got so much support with her story about her daughter who died of cancer, and how she now raised money for children with cancer. Several people donated to Teresa, customers would request her so she would get the commission on the sales and one thing lead to another and my mom found out her real name was Terri Millibrandt and everything she did. I remember her telling us about how shocked she was and needing to fire her. Terri literally moved 10 miles over and is still scamming people and was just charged with foraging prescriptions. The story just gets wilder. I’m glad her daughter is doing well!

I believe Hannah’s father. As a wife and stay at home mother to 3 children, my husband rarely attends medical appointments. Those typically take place during the work day, and I just handle everything related to that (transportation, any Rx filling, etc). Additionally, as a healthcare provider, my account of any issues generally isn’t questioned by him. I can absolutely see how a hard working man could be duped in this way. It’s also important to recognize this “only” went on for 9 months, not years. Hannah’s mom could easily keep this up for months without him knowing.
