Just got recommended to me. The toxicity isnāt apparent to most people until itās in hindsight. For me, I was in a relationship with someone I was toxic with, and toxic towards, I never realized how bad things were until it was over. And then I met someone amazing. She broke me out of my shell and the habits I formed from the past relationship. It took time and understanding, and a lot of reinforcement. But once I was brought back from that place and understood how to healthily talk about issues, everything became okay. 2 years strong, and pretty happy with where Iāve ended up. Iāll end this with the ābestā you can do, isnāt the best for you. Just find someone you can be happy with.

Just like a super wise person once told me: "Appreciate, dont attach"... if you derive all your happiness and STABILITY from a relationship, you will be unhealthily paranoid and anxious and will smother the other person and yourself. Give eachother the freedom to be completely independent and have your own agency. Then, you can appreciate eachother as a part of a greater puzzle. And remember, you can still be super romantic while maintaining boundaries!
