Yuri's plan was genius. Aint no way the father chose not to press charges. The ONLY reasoning I can think of is either there was some sus stuff about how they got all that momey in the first place so they didn't want to do legal action that could lead to them getting in trouble, OR the were confident that they could make back all that money in a relatively short time, so they didn't feel like stressing through legal action. Not pressing charges is insane. Only reason I can think of for them not doing that, is because they had some shady things going on and didn't want the police snooping around, which would explain the safe/shoe box instead of a bank.
