A year after the publication of this video, I decided to make another video about my hometown of Vilnius. Check it out here!    • What is VILNIUS? (My City You Know No...

Help me spread the word about Lithuania by sharing this video with the hashtag #SALTIBARSCIAI and showing your friends how knowledgeable you are about 'em tiny gorgeous countries of the world!

I spent the last 5 years traveling the world and every time I'd meet people on the road, they'd ask: "Where do you come from?". I'd always come back saying: "Lithuania", just to hear them go: "huh?"

At some point it became a little annoying to have to explain the same thing over and over and over again, so I decided to create this video where you will learn everything you need to know about Lithuania.

Hope you enjoy it!

Ačiū, Lietuva! Taiwanese people really appreciated your country, Lithuania, donated COVID-19 vaccines to my country, Taiwan. After the pandemic cooling down, many Taiwanese people will visit your country.

Pirmiausia galvojau rašyt angliškai bet pagalvojau, kad reikia naudoti savo kalbą😀 Tiesiog nuostabus video. Tiek daug sunkaus darbo įdėta į šio filmuko kūrimą . Tai nuostabu!!!

I am Chinese Indonesian and I live in Indonesia. I have a Lithuanian friend. We met at the gym. He started the chat when we were in the same jacuzzi. I asked him a very basic question "Where are you from ?". He replied "Europe". Then I asked him again "Which country ?". Then he replied "I will show you on the map later". I didn't know why he won't tell right away. but then I realized that Lithuanians often have to explain where Lithuania is. Because the majority of people in the world don't know where it is. I think he is tired of hearing "Lithu... what ?"

I just today, at 33 years of age, discovered that Lithuania wasn’t another poor struggling post Soviet Union country and wanted to learn more. Looks closer to a Scandinavian country than a ex Soviet Union nation. Beautiful.

Great video, Jacob. I'm 65 and American. My mom was born in Šilute in 1931. When Germany invaded in 1940, my grandfather was hearing stories about exiles to Siberia. The family used my grandmother's German citizenship to re-enter Germany, and after WWII, the family came to the US. I've never visited Mom's homeland and speak only a few words of Lithuanian, so thank you for this video telling me about Lithuania as it is today. Dievas palaimina Lietuvą!

My great grandmother immigrated to the US from Lithuania. Most of our family is named after her because she was so dearly loved by the people who knew her. Some people still approach us, long after her death, to ask to sign her book. Lithuania has always held my interest and respect. Thanks for this. Love from California.
