Connor Daly released a video today in which he said some drivers hit the button even when it is deactivated. Probably just so they don't forget to hit it when it is enabled. One less thing to have to think about.

I wonder if the wheel had their P2P lights go on when they hit, that would be another big tell, dont the teams have car cameras on the stands? I appreciate them owning it, but its really shady that its Penske. It makes me curious how far down into engineering ratholes they have gone if they have access to other chassis or electronics that other teams dont. Perhaps not, but it sews a lot of distrust. Roger needs to divest or sell the league, hes not doing anything helpful.

What about the races since? Shouldn't they also be disqualified for all the rest of the races? If it is an unfair advantage for a winning car in relation to second or third place, then it is also unfair to the rest of the field and their points earned.

Team Penske knew exactly what they were doing, drivers don't just mash the push to pass button, they use it when it matters because it is limited to set number of seconds per race. They also know the normal function is disabled on starts/restarts. The fact it was still on the car through practice, qualifying and into Sunday warmup shows intent to use it again. All three cars should have been given the same penalty at Long Beach that Will Power got for St. Pete.
