I agree with the theory that the boyfriend and his friends killed women and that the protagonist was supposed to be their next victim. Then the ghost woman, who was one of the previous victims, killed them to try and save the protagonist, hence the "Not again, not ever again"

Honestly the part that makes me believe the "witch woman was killed by men in the woods and is now protecting the main character"-theory is that she was able to type all of that out without anything happening to her. If the witch wanted her dead she would not wait for her to write down the whole story while crouched behind a car. Seems to me that she was 'escorting' the protagonist, making sure she got out of the woods safe (by ghost standards)

Despite knowing that this story was probably going to be supernatural in nature, as soon as it got to the part where they said they heard a woman screaming, I immediately went, "Oh, it's a mountain lion." I was actually kind of pumped for it to be a semi-normal scare as opposed to something spoopy.
