This is actually extremely well thought out and fits the protagonists greatly. Even those who have support around them, like Jacob and Evie, Desmond, and Ezio, still live lonely lives. The Frye twins have each other and one major ally in an otherwise lone wolf. Ezio lost half of his family to execution, and abandoned the other half afterward. Desmond spent years of his life running from the Assassin's, only to be caught by the Templars, and freed by a small group of individuals, which included his abusive father and a rogue Templar spy, who pushed him to the limit with Animus sessions six days a week, forcing him into extreme PTSD and being surrounded by people who never showed their care for him until he was gone.
The life of an Assassin is one of tragedy, trauma, and burden. Some may try to make the best of life while they can, some may embrace these truths to further their cause, and some might spend decades trying a find a purpose to all of the chaos, but the one common seed planted in every Assassin, bears the truth for the Order. Risk your life, and aid in taking the lives of others, all for the betterment of the world.
An average person can not bear that weight.

You make an interesting argument. The Assassin life is often simplified when people play and enjoy the games, but when one pauses and consider the stress, the suffering, that comes with that life, that person will discover a very dark and sad side to the Assassins. Even the same Ezio, who managed to retire with peace and sanity, shows the physical and emmotional wear and tear he's been through in the AC Embers film, in which he encapsulates the Assassin life as one of pain, saying that "they feel it, watch it happen, inflict it upon others, all in the hopes of sparing other people of that pain."
Assassin's Creed Embers is a must watch for all fans of Ezio, in particular, and for those that are interested in this story to a deeper level because it exposes, through the voice of a retired Assassin, the grief and the responsibility that comes with that existance. After watching that film I felt an even greater respect towards Ezio and all the other Assassins in the franchise.
Another film that demonstrates this well is the Lineage film, in which we often see Giovanni burdened by the fact that he is missing precious moments with his family because he is trying to foil Borgia's plans. Also, the Fassbender film does this as well.
Yes, I know that film is not perfect and I understand why some people didn't like it, but I always felt that film represented well the sad side of the Assassin life. Basically all Assassins, both present and past, suffer horrible deaths, and those that survive are left with uncertain futures. That film might not have been as good as it needed to be but I kind of connected and sympathized with the characters and their sad outcomes.
In the end, it is nice to see people seeing these stories to a deeper level. The Assassins, and even a few Templars, are their own form of Hero. I feel frequently that people have forgotten the merits of Heroes and the important life lessons they teach, and so it is nice, good and perhaps a bit necessary to see that some fans actually understand the true merits of these characters. Well done.

It makes Desmond's death even more sad as he was brought up being trained his whole life, tried to run away from it, only to die protecting others.
He never got a chance to live his own life or have his own family.
As I'm currently playing Black flag, it sickens me how he was cut up and is being used for the enemy.

This is the most interesting part of the assassins. I want a really dark game that portrays the assassins as a cult and the protagonist becomes more and more isolated over time and struggles with keeping his sanity. They could really lean into physiological horror and how the Brotherhood corrupts people to use them as soldiers, cannon fodder in a never ending war.

The music that played during those moments in the middle of nowhere, with just the sand and the vast emptiness, made it feel even lonelier, sadder, and more depressing. Origins is an amazing game with its breathtaking music, landscapes, and evolution since Black Flag. However, due to the loneliness it evoked for us players, it will always be hard (for me) to play it again."

Its an honor to meet a fellow fan that asks these same questions and builds on them in a Youtube channel. Just found you by the way. Its been something that has always brought me back to Assasins Creed Games, books and movies. In a phycological way 'being' an Assasin in that world whether modern time in London, Syria etc. or In ancient times like Jerusalem, Italy or Constantinople. Each of these assasins worked alone. Its the core gameplay and the developments of the character like Ezio as a protégé to mentor of the assasins creed that is the story we love alot because of his growth from being alone to becoming a leader of many. Straying from that takes the core element of growth, struggle and enlightenment out which then makes it feel like just another adventure game with no substance to back it up.
