also, you might have noticed that this video has far more editing than my videos usually have. at first, i didn't know what to use for the visual element in my cover, and then i remembered my art friend, fatima, and their oc, deirdre. she was gracious enough to let me use her art in another one of my covers, and as i got to editing, inspiration struck. thus, we have this fun video!

This song actually gives me some peace of mind. I've spent so many years of my life worrying about how my actions and words would affect others due to past experience, but this song helps me accept that you can't exactly help how others perceive you and that's ok.
We all have our dark sides and our light sides. Even if we feel that our decisions are pointless or end up hurting someone, it's not the end of the world. Nobody's perfect and that's ok, we're all just trying to exist.

This actually goes well with one of my OCs, because she is a cult leader who's footsteps walked in again by another young girl who has recently been given godly powers. Her own child was also been given the same powers and the child knows what's going to happen and is trying to stop the young girl from becoming her mom and save the world. And with that it feels like her mother would be singing this with the young one.
I know this was a lot to read sorry about that.

See the thing about being a hero or a villain is all about perspective. If you have two waring countries each will have their champions, their heroes, but to the other country aka their enemy. The enemy heroes will be demeaned villain’s just because their are fighting for their own country against yours.
If your really want to get into shades of gray you can start to look at groups of people who protect all people, vs groups who protect a specific group and not others. Is the group that protects only a specific group of people bad? Technically they are doing good for the people they are protecting but from the prospective of the people they turn away they look bad. Nothing is ever as simple as it seems.
