Lyrics (from Genius):
I was telling him
The other day that
I would be the
One to make her stay but
Whoâsâ
crying,â
now on myâ
shoulder?
Whoâs crying, now that I toldâ
her?
In a mile I can feel your legs
I wish away the pain, it's red
Iâm draped in lead
Iâm heavy as a slug
Drag the body under the rug
Get out of my head
Canât you tell that youâre dead
To me
Talk to me instead
Till we go to bed
Whoâs crying, now on my shoulder?
Whoâs crying, now that Iâve told her?
In a mile I can feel your legs
I wish away the pain, it's red
Iâm draped in lead
Iâm heavy as a slug
Drag the body under the rug
Her lips are ruby and I
Forgot the thimble
If I can help it
Sheâll caress me in the sky
But I canât, entertain you
But I can't, help but escape you
In a mile I can feel your legs
I wish away the pain, it's red
Iâm draped in lead
Iâm heavy as a slug
Drag the body under the rug

So I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what this song's about, but here's a theory/headcanon/??? about what I think it might be:
This song is about a polyamourous relationship (, or at least some kind of consensual threesome/open relationship) involving the Fem and Masc singers, and "her," who they both like and want to join their relationship. Fem and Masc's relationship is abusive on both sides, both physically and mentally (put a pin in that), and were already having problems before they both wanted "her." They see winning over "her" as some kind of competition, and kind of just want "her" all to themselves, without each other.
In an attempt to slight Masc's chances, Fem tells "her" some kind of secret about Masc (not sure what this was or would be? maybe "she" isn't poly and Fem made "her" think only he was?) and it worked. Masc "cries on Fem's shoulder" about "her" (possibly) turning him down, and Fem pretends like she's there for him, when in actuality she's elated. But, when Fem goes to confess to "her," it turns out "she" wasn't actually ever interested in either of them/was only ever interested in Masc before "she" was told his secret and never had feelings for Fem.
This makes Fem upset and angry and, unable to take the rejection, reasons that Masc must've sabotaged her chances as well. When confronting Masc about it, Fem reveals whatever she told "her," and Masc is livid. Masc says he didn't do the same thing, and whether he did or not, Fem doesn't believe him. Their relationship is at an all-time low, pretty much at its breaking point, when "she" comes over (maybe to apologize for the rejection? maybe to re-confess to one of them? "she's" just at their home now for whatever reason). "She" walks straight into one of their more violent arguments, and for one reason or another, "she" ends up dead, killed by both Fem and Masc. And maybe it wasn't an accident. "If I can help it, she'll caress me in the sky."
Having no other option but to cover up their crime, they "drag the body under the rug" (hide "her" body, maybe in water?: "draped in lead and heavy as a slug"). Maybe they flee the scene ("In a mile I can feel your legs") or maybe from each other ("I can't help but escape you"), but the deed is done. In taking away "her" agency in the matter, "she" just became more fuel for their already volatile relationship.
