I have been depressed for a long time, but after taking shrooms few months ago, l feel much happier and highly motivated and my ADHD gone , lost a ton of anxiousness and had a few epiphanies about how I should live my life. I decided to buy an ounce for backup, but haven’t yet felt the need to take any more since then.

Psychedelic’s definitely have potential to deal with mental health symptoms like anxiety and depression, I would like to try them again but it’s just so hard to source here

Been using acid, mushrooms since 2009. I'm glad it's having a renaissance . Absolutely helpful used in a smart manner. I work a full remote job making 120k a year in LCOL area. Don't let anyone say you can't achieve nothing with these

I had many experiences with mushrooms as a younger man but since I've started microdosing they've really turned my life around. Just taking a small amount every day (I grind mine up and put them in capsules for easier use) has eliminated the worst of my depressive and suicidal thoughts. I still have moments of anxiety and depression but they are much rarer and much less debilitating than they were previously.

People might try to self-medicate? That's been part of the culture for as long as I can remember, with plenty of good information for responsible people - including clinicians - to follow protocol. Of course, clinicians face severe consequences if things go wrong, but while uncomfortable side effects are common, severe and lasting ones are not. It's data that is very hard to incorporate in a full appreciation of psychedelic medicine, but it is huge and significant.

Awesome video, loved the topic, thumbnail, and editing. Also I am similarly surprised by Australia being the first. We are typically well behind on these issues.

SUMMARY: 🍄 Magic mushrooms have been used in spiritual contexts for thousands of years. The active compound psilocybin binds to serotonin receptors and causes powerful effects. 🌌 Psilocybin increases connections between neurons - 10% more connections and 10% larger. This may help treat depression which is linked to neuronal atrophy. 📈 In studies, a single dose of psilocybin led to a large decrease in depression scores compared to therapy alone. 60-70% of treatment resistant patients saw substantial, ongoing relief. 🤔 Hallucinations may be important for therapeutic benefits, so 'tripless' psychedelics may not work as well. Psilocybin shows months of benefit after one dose, unlike daily antidepressants. 😵 There are side effects like anxiety and paranoia. Set and setting are very important - patients need supervision from a psychologist. Treatments are currently very expensive. 🎓 More research is needed, but it is promising for certain patients. Australia recently approved psychedelics as medicine, so more access will enable larger studies. 🧠💊

Wow! Protolyst looks really great. I am super impressed. I have been using notion recently (for videos) or a collection of ppts (research) but I think I will give this a try. Does it have the capability to use LaTex for equations? Is there space limitations for linking files?

Shrooms are great for a new perspective but don’t take them too much or too often. In my opinion 1-4 times a year is enough.

I have felt paranoid and felt anxiety but just keep doing them. You need some balls! Then you will find peace.

Why are society so much against tripping? What people don't understand is that psychedelics forces you to face your issues. If you ignore the issues and reflections it brings to work on, there is a tendency for bad trips and paranoia, but it heavily related to issues the trip shine light on!

Early 20s college tried shrooms. Never had an hallucination. Not really. Colors seemed brighter, jokes seemed funnier, music seemed more intense. Guess that sort hallucinating. Only tried it once. LSD on the other hand, that I didn't experiment rather someone slipped a tab in to my drink. I was hallucinating all night. In my hallucination I partied the whole night, dancing and socializing. The next day my friends said I never left my chair and was spaced out the whole night. Then the guy who slip me the LSD told me what he did, I punched in face for doing it. At least he said he deserved it.
