Perhaps this is one of Oasis' most touching songs along with "Sad Song" and "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" as much as it is underrated. These songs first tear your soul to pieces, making you cry, and then collect it again, giving you a sense of rebirth and rethinking your existence. Oasis is the best band for me for that reason alone.

"Damn my education I can't find the word to say with all the things caught in my mind" is such a sad and depressing statement when you think about it. An underrated tune with beautiful yet sad lyrics that even Liam was hesitant to record it at first. Shows how brilliant Noel is as a songwriter...

Just visited and left my son for the first time and it was terrible for both of us saying goodbye. His arms and legs wrapped tightly around me and kissing my cheek .... I wept like a part of me was dying because it was. This song on repeat the whole plane ride home.... Thank you Oasis

A little Curiosity: Liam claims to have cried while recording the song, as a result of dwelling on "a certain thing". He said, in a 1997 interview, "I just thought 'fuck that, I can't be singing this song' and I had to go away and sort myself out". Listening back to the song he admits to being very proud of his vocal performance.
