I'm Japanese and didn't know Oasis till 2015. That year, I went to the UK for graduation trip from high school. I am a big fan of the Beatles, so I visited Liverpool and Cavern Club. The Beatles copy bands were playing the Beatles song most, but one group played this Champagne Supernova for the last song of the show. It touched me so so deeply and soon after I got back to the hotel, I listened this song again and again. Now, I am a big fan of Oasis and that show in Liverpool is the best memory of visiting the UK.

I think most people in the 1990s wrote off Oasis as a "Beatles-wannabe" act.
They really did have an unbelievable talent to make sonic magic on tracks like this one, "All Around the World", "Wonderwall", "Don't Look back in Anger" , "Don't Go Away", "My big Mouth" and others.
The tracks from "What's the Story Morning Glory" and "Be Here Now" were awesome to me as a teenager.

Is funny how in the 90s there was a wave of nostalgia for the 60s and the 70s that inspired much of the music and fashion on the time and now we watch with nostalgic eyes the 90s with the same fascination, I am 90s child and it was an amazing decade for music and pop culture, we could use a bit of that zeitgeist for the 2020s

"How many special people change, How many lives are living strange" Noel's words are so simple, but they offer so much interpretation. It's beautiful.
