My best friend almost committed suicide three months ago. The trauma will never compare to actually losing them, but that still left a scar on both of us I think will take a long time to heal. It happened on a Thursday morning, and they didnโt stop feeling like that until Saturday.
I thank god or whateverโs up there everyday that theyโre still alive. Even if theyโre distant now, Iโm so fucking glad I still have them. My heart goes out to all those who lost friends or family to suicide.
I personally have been struggling with suicidal thoughts, and this song is like a life raft in a sea of sadness. I will forever love this band, even if they didnโt make this song themselves.

Great choice of a cover!!! Mark Linkous was/is one of my all time favourite songwriters. So sad when they leave us, too many suicides in my life and this one hits me where I live.
