I only had a month to spend with a friend before the end of last school year; the rest of the time, I’d been caught up dealing with my toxic partner, which my friend inevitably helped me out of. But as the school year ended, he grew distant. Deleted every message he ever sent. And now, even if he returned, he’s barely online and in a different school. I loved him, and he’s told me he loved me too; and I miss him dearly. I miss the nights we would spend talking, and our chess games every lunch break. But now, it’s like he never was in my life, but I cry over it sometimes. I wonder if he ever remembers about me.

This song holds such a dear place in my heart. I remember when I first listened to it like 30 minutes before a guy that I really was starting to fall in love with left me because he wasn't ready for a relationship (after hangin' from march to december) so june-july was the highest point of our relationship. I had to take a bus home, so I listened to this non-stop because it truly stood up to me and how I literally felt like he slipped through my fingers. But this song made me see this beautiful short romance as something to be grateful and cherished. He broke my heart but somehow... I can still recall how for a brief moment those summer nights belonged to us. Thank you Lyn. Can't wait for your next record.

I love it when artists do some thing completely different near the end of their songs. This is a great example. Right here 1:57 is so beautiful ugh, wish I can re-experience that for the first time over and over again. I love hearing your raw vocals. And the production always eats.
