I worked in state government for 28 years. Often I was told I was not a team player. I took it as a compliment. When someone would say this to me, usually a college educated boss. I would listen to their stories of when they were in college and the stunts they pulled, some illegal. I would tell them I learned at an early age to do my own thinking. Then I would relate a story I read about a fraternity party where they would get a girl drunk then all have sex with her then ask him is that what being a teem player is. A couple of their stories hit close to that. I would ask if that was your daughter would you want someone that thinks for himself and maybe gets her out of that situation or would you want a teem player. There are benefits to being raised in the country. Friends are few and far between. We learned to think for our selves to work things out and there was no crowd to follow. I can't say I got moved up to higher positions as quickly as the ass kissers I mean teem players but I don't regret it

As teenager learning about Nazi Germany, I couldn't understand how people could go along with such madness. As an adult, in the current state of the west, it makes scary sense.

My 50 year old friend, a single lady, said no to the experiment, lost her medical job. Lost her house. Had to move into the basement of her elderly parents. She gets mad when people say, I had no choice!! Everyone has a choice. Not an easy one. A nurse may have to work at 7-11. It’s an awful choice, but if everyone refused to go against their conscience, then the plan could be stopped. Instead of a few sticking their necks out and getting crushed.

This is why every day, our news media tells us about surveys concerning various issues. They are designed to influence our opinions not to inform us of any facts.

It has never been more important, than now, to be curious, skeptical, and individualistic. Standing for humilty, gratitude, objectivity, and self - reliance. And not just going along, because it is easy.

I forgot to mention that we live in a sick society that hates anyone that is intelligent, creative, independent, honest, realistic, has practical logical realistic goals and prefers to live his or her life the way he or she wants without the influence and help of others, without moral debt to others etc.

It's not always the case that everyone thinks the same but are too afraid to act. Covid taught us that often anyone who sticks their head above the parapet will have it shot at pretty quickly and often neighbours are the willing agents of such actions.

I must have been wired differently in my mom's womb. I NEVER go along with the crowd. I listen to my heart, my gut, my instinct.

My father gave me some excellent advice when I was in middle school. Think for myself and question authority. I have been a nonconformist all my life. I will be 68 in 2024.
