"Gaining empathy???" made me cackle. this dude is self aware and that's great. i have a lot of male friends who, because of the way society treats men's mental health, didn't "gain empathy" until well into their 20's. (obviously it's there, just repressed because men aren't supposed to show emotion or vulnerability)

as someone who respected his attitude back in the day i 100% relate to him saying all this, i went back to idubbbz when i realized i was caring too much about things and i think that was a good part of his old self however that can very easily slip into never caring about anything ever and thats very bad so when i bounced back out of that i balanced out and feel like him now
