Hi all - this is my first upload in 2 years! For those that didn't know, I wasn't able to sing for a long time as I permanently lost some of the functionality in my voice. It took me two years but I re-taught myself how to sing using the registers I had left to me. My 'new voice' is quite unstable (like a babe in the woods!) and I never know what I'll be waking up to, but I needed to get working on songs again or I was just going to wither away. Bear with me while I get back into the groove.

Alice in Wonderland has always been close to my heart and a source of comfort in some really dark times. I've decided Alice is what my next album will consist of - and this is the first song on it!

I hope you enjoy the video portion! My husband Kevin actually did all the filming! I am pretty impressed! I storyboarded the video and then he followed me around for a few days in the woods getting these shots. I made all of the Alice dresses from a Japanese pattern I found in a magazine. They took a loooong time but I am pretty good at sewing now...

Special thanks to my body double, Katie, for helping with the shots where I needed two Alices and also for helping a ton with the fight scene.

Also special thanks to my friend Jillian Aversa for not only showing me kindness and filling me with hope, but also for allowing me to be part of two of her professional video shoots earlier this year. I learned a lot from the experience and I just love her SO MUCH!
Please check out our two collabs here!

   • Zelda: Ocarina of Time - "Title Theme...

And thanks to YOU GUYS for still being here? Not being able to be Erutan for you for two years almost killed me. Leave a comment for me if you can, and see you guys next video!

She's not only taught herself to sing again, she's turned this fun story into a story of confronting your own inner demons without losing the fantasy that makes it accessible and acceptable!

Six impossible things before breakfast: 1) There's a potion that can make you shrink. 2) And a cake that can make you grow. 3) Animals can talk. 4) Cats can disappear. 5) There is a place called Wonderland. 6) I can slay the Jabberwocky!

[Chorus] La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la [Verse 1] ’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogoves And the mome raths outgrabe “Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch Beware the Juju bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!” [Chorus] La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la [Verse 2] He took his vorpal sword in hand; Long time the manxome foe he sought— So rested he by the Tumtum tree Stood awhile in thought And, as in uffish thought he stood The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame Came whiffling through the tulgey wood And burbled as it came! [Bridge] La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la Oooh-oooh-oooh-oooh [Verse 3] One two! One two! And through and through The vorpal blade went snicker-snack! He left it dead, and with its head He went galumphing back [Instrumental] [Verse 4] “And hast thou slain the Jabberwock? Come to my arms, my beamish boy O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!” He chortled in his joy [Outro] La-la-la-la-la-la-la (Yaa-yaa-yaa-yaa) Callooh, callay! O frabjous day! La-la-la-la-la-la-la (Yaa-yaa-yaa-yaa) Callooh, callay! O frabjous day!

I have missed you and your magical music so much. For what it’s worth, you’ve always been my biggest inspiration ever since I discovered your music years and years ago. I would never be where I am on YouTube without your influence. Thank you so much for coming back to us with this beautiful piece! I admire you so much for overcoming your struggles and working so hard to find your voice again. I can’t imagine how hard it has been for you but this just proves how strong and talented you are! Also, this cinematography is so amazing! 💕

This song is so beautiful and does honor to the original Tale. I love Alice in Wonderland and this poem. I really appriciate how it was represented in this adaptation here. It's like fighting against it's own demons to grow up, but without losing some childhood innocence and fantasy. Amazing <3 You did amazing, Erutan, thank you for it.
