"Pretender is gonna sound weird acoustic." Proceeds to play one of the best performances of this song anywhere.

Typical Dave. Says he doesn't know if pretender will sound any good acoustic, proceeds to rock the shit out of it. Badass as always.

This is how you truly test a musician. Just a man and his acoustic guitar. Dave Grohl passes that test with flying colors.

Dave is the type of guy who would walk up to a backyard campfire and see an acoustic guitar sitting there and ask if he could play song or two... and this is what you’d get! Love his acoustic versions...

You can tell that Grohl really enjoys his music. Some performers seem almost disinterested in their own songs when they sing them live... Grohl is up there jammin out like a young kid who just learned how to play his favorite song xD

It always amazes me how confident Dave is in-front of tons of people with just his voice and guitar..

How can one man with a guitar stand there alone and be more entertaining than a four piece band?

If Dave Grohl had 4 arms, he could go in concert all by himself. Guitar+Drums+Voice!

Reading his book and listening to him perform completes the circle. Truly one of the last great rock stars. A national treasure 🤘🏽🔥🤘🏽🔥

I know it's strange to say this, but imagine how much of the amazing that is Dave Grohl might never have happened if Nirvana still existed. The man is incredibly talented.

Love the passion he has while playing songs he's played a thousand times. Dude really loves what he does and it shows

it's crazy when he plays the first cords of pretender like he's testing it out and you get chills running down your back. what crazier is that came out of his brain in the first place. like he wrote that.

Love hearing Dave mess up the lyrics a little bit and then seeing him smile, knowing he messed them up. That's why Rock is the best. It's real. I love seeing these guys have little slip ups. It shows that they are human.

You know you're watching a real artist when he performs his songs without the distortion, without the drums, without the base and still rocks the livin' sh*t out of 'em! 🤘
