When I was 14 I met Dan at a convention and whilst I was waiting to meet him I loudly joked about a wildly inappropriate fanfiction and Dan retorted with "don't be creepy" honestly that moment made me rethink all my life choices leading up to that moment, my whole body goes inside out whenever I think about it

I honestly love how the phandom has evolved from this extremely toxic relationship into one of the healthiest fandoms I've been in. I think this is a poignant episode to comment on how you were a legitimate influence on how I grew and evolved over the years despite us never meeting. I started watching when I was an 11-year-old emo wannabe in 2014 and I am now a 19-year-old biochem pre-med student who still watches every upload the day it comes out. It genuinely feels like chatting with an old friend, especially during this transition phase of life where parasocial relationships are the only ones I have. Sure, I can't tell you about my day or ask you how you're doing, but this relationship is important to me. In some ways it's hard because we'll never actually be friends, but I also take comfort in the fact that your healthy boundaries with your audience are something you've cultivated over the years and the pride wins out. Just FYI, people saying I looked like you was a genuine piece of gender euphoria that spurred me to transition, so thanks? Love this video, and I'll love the next one too <3
