Cornette already addressed this on his podcast. He doesn’t wish harm on anyone (save for his shit list) and clarified that anyone on twitter getting harassment can always step away considering he gets death threats on the daily.

The problem I have is that even though I enjoy his content, to often Jim seems to call every female Japanese wrestler (including women like Asuka and Io Shirai) Asian schoolgirls and fetish objects. He's admitted he never really cared about Japanese wrestling, and he just has a lot of shit takes on Japanese wrestling and wrestlers in general.
But his fanbase, like any fanbase (including both AEW and WWE), has a number of absolutely idiotic and rabid simpletons that feel the need to go on Twitter and harass people because they have nothing else going on in life and Jim doesn't seem to realize that.

What Jim Cornette said was still his opinion and he should be allowed to share about what he thinks about Riho positive or negative. They should be blaming the twitter users, they’re the ones who are allowed to say whatever they want and hide behind a screen

There is a distinct reality she just deactivated Twitter for non-wrestling on bullying reasons.
Could be a political thing, maybe just got sick of Twitter in general.
I’ve deleted my social media on different platforms for a multiple reasons; none related to harassment.

I don't know if I misunderstood, but it seems Cornette thinks his fans are smart enough not to get into bullying stuff.
I don't think he was the big reason for the situation in relation to Riho, but he doesn't help him open his mouth like that.

When it comes to smaller people in wrestling, my take is this: it can work. Smaller wrestlers can believably take-down larger opponents, it just needs to look realistic. Chokes, submissions, trip attacks are all effective against larger opponents, a significantly smaller wrestler should rarely win in a test of strength, or slug fest. Thinking only massive people should wrestle is, frankly, a boomer oppinion.
That being said, I think Most male main eventers should have enough muscle to look semi-athletic. Otherwise, their physiques strike me as lazy, and I tend to like the wrestler less.

I listen to Jim Cornette. & although he’s old school & he’s not a fan of joshi wrestlers. (which I am a fan of) he’s not an idiot. & he would never send people to say hateful things about Riho. that decision & responsibility is only on the “FANS”

What I find funny about Cornette and his complaints is that he's saying it on his podcast that most of us claim to avoid yet his comments always seem to be shared for clicks by people who are apparently against it so maybe if those people just ignored him & left him in his little corner we'd have some peace in between the actual wrestling that happens
