i am American i was unaware of this show at the time but have been loving watching these episodes on here. it makes me sad because this is the kind of thing i have been wanting to see on TV my whole life, but it seems the masses would rather watch scandalous reality shows and talent competitions.

So romantic: a wife who fulfills her late husband's wishes, an elderly lady who gives permission to dig in her grounds and even joins the digging team in putting everything down in her diary. How beautiful to fulfill the wishes of the elderly generations

It seems almost every episode Stewart swoops in and saves the day, his profession is too underrated and under appreciated

Stewart is the definition of an expert to me. He finds a lost Roman road in one day of looking. They're on a perfectly ordinary field and he's pointing out the outline of a 2000 year old road... 🤯

Awesome episode. I'm a surveyor and I've been designing and building roads for 30 years. The principal hasn't changed drastically in 2,000 years. Cross sectional shape with a crown in the middle. Stormwater runoff sheds laterally to water tables or kerbs on the sides. Structural design comprising layers of metal aggregate varying in thickness. Larger particles at the bottom, smaller particles on the top. Brilliant episode.

I love how Tony is always frantically running around, and how he occasionally gets others to do the same.

How cool was the family that started digging in 1963 and the wealth woman that owned the property at the time that not only allowed them to dig but sometimes helped. Now that is a great family vacation! Glad the old woman got to some of the results of what she and her family started in 1963.

I'm over here in America. Finding Time Team episodes online has been a bright spot since being laid off from work back in midMarch and during pandemic isolation. I work in the schools and am very scared about going back to work tomorrow because the virus is still rampant. Students and faculty are at grave risk. So, I'm spending tonight binge watching Time Team episodes to distract myself from the anxiety of the clock ticking toward tomorrow's school bell. Quiet, simple happiness before the maelstrom. Y'all have made me smile often during a very hard 6 months. Thank you so much. But, I do wish y'all would've been nicer to and more appreciative of Stewart Ainsworth, poor thing traipsing around with his maps. Y'all teased and discounted him in so many episodes. I always root for that poor, put upon dear. Phil Harding seems like such a wonderful person, everyone's eccentric archaeology grandpa. And, over the course of the long summer, I've gone from thinking of Tony Robinson as "the Baldrick guy" to "the Time Team guy" - from him first bringing delight during my university years to a new delight now in my 40s. I'd gladly buy both men a pint.

And those amateurs did a better job recording their finds, trenches, and work than some of the professionals that Time Team has followed up on.
