I think this song is maybe about s realizing that you made mistakes and that not everything is someone elseās fault. I think this because of the best drop at āyou should have called but I guess so should Iā and after there the beats get more granulated and grimey. After this epiphany, the singer tries to work on themselves and reflect but it doesnāt work, leading them to alcohol and regret (sugar in my mouth, liquor on my tongue)

I love her songsš Because she is making me express my feelings like no other artist can do. I love her chaotic energy and makes life more valuable. It may not be the most typical and pleasing songs, but they are emotional and provoking. And thatās what I love about her songs. It makes me reflect on life. I like that she is saying things straight and are harsh. It somehow makes me see the world as less complicated and less pointless.

Penelope has a really unique way of writing about mental illness, depression specifically, and her songs really capture my personal experiences and struggles with it in a way a lot of artists donāt.
