I found very brave that Armie shared publicly how conservative his mother is and go even further to say that he respects her beliefs but don't agree with her. You can see in his eyes and body language that he feels bitter that his own mother has those kind of beliefs. This project and especially Luca must have really changed how Armie sees the world...Damn imagine if he wanted to say that he is gay or bisexual in the future to a mother like that... Armie you are an excellent example of a FREE human being !

As a gay man I hold pretty much the same views as Armie Hammer regarding a conservative parents right to their own views and actions. I know we’re right regarding these issues but playing a didactic role and asserting our views on others whom have held opposing views for the majority of their life won’t help either.

I understand Armie's point. I think Andy Cohen really wants to push the matter like there's a solution that won't destroy Armie's relationship with his mother. My mom is also very conservative. However, she accepts me for being gay and is supportive. It did not start out like this, but since I got comfortable with her changing her mind on this subject, I tried pushing other conservative views that she had. I realized I was doing nothing other than destroying my relationship with her. But it actually taught me so much about life and how there's truly no definition for morality. My mom told me she does not agree with the way the I view a lot of the world, but she accepts that I am my own person and loves me all the same. I understood that despite not agreeing with her, she truly felt just and right about her views. It's like war. There's just no true winner. I learned to love my mom for her flaws (according to me) and our relationship has never been stronger. We all have this strong sense of what we think we know to be right and wrong. In some cases, it's pretty obvious and in others it's pretty ambiguous. It's frustrating to live in a world with so many opposing views, but that's humanity. I think what makes my mom stand above lots of people is her ability to not want to impose her point of view on others. She's the type of person to say, "I do not agree with your lifestyle, but I do not believe I have the right to tell you how to live your life." That makes a lot of people angry, but I appreciate it.

im surprised Armie was so comfortable talking about this. This seems like a topic most actors/actresses would dodge. respect to him
