Omg this so nice. I feel like for latino Americans who were born in the U.S, we have slowly lost our culture. Because we are bombarded by absolutely everything else, we loose sight of our roots. And we just view it as our family’s language, not our own. I grew up in a pretty diverse neighborhood, but in elementary there was a lot of white kids. When I went to middle school it was located in a more latino populated area, however it wasn’t in a good area, a lot of kids were in gangs and did just a lot of bad stuff. I just felt not embarrassed but, resentment for being latino. hearing music like this helps me appreciate my culture even more. thank you.
