The standard for singing in kpop is much lower than the standard for dancing. Honestly, when I first joined the kpop community, I was shocked to hear the kpop artists call themselves singers. Yes there are singers amongst them, but they are mostly performers that release music. And personally I'm fine with it. After all, it's not only happening to kpop : it's a worldwide phenomenon. The music industry is just less and less about having good vocals.

Exo even after 12 years in the industry and all their years of training still take voice lessons. If she wants to be better at singing, she needs to put in the work and demand from Source Music and Hybe to give her more lessons. I'd love to see her and the other girls improve and be able to bite back at the haters and show that their hard work is getting them their achievements and not their pretty faces.

I feel so bad for her. I have taken vocal lessons for years and I can promise you that anxiety will negatively impact your vocals. I’m sure this girl gets stressed every single time she picks up a mic. People say why doesn’t she quit, but there would be tons of people upset about her quitting. She is in a tough spot. My question to everyone is what happened to treating others how you would like to be treated?

I feel like hybe is partly to be blamed because they didn’t help their artists improve despite the previous criticism. This goes for the other girls too and not just Sakura. LSF are already amazing dancers and have great stage presence so maybe they should have shifted their preparation by focusing on their vocals. It seems like this level vocal ability is accepted by the company because this isn’t the first time they were called out yet there was barely any improvement. Her statement just rubbed people the wrong way because there was no accountability. Is it too much to ask for singers who can sing? I like the girls and their songs so I hope they get better and overcome this.

Sakura is very charismatic, and that's why she succeeded in Japan. Koreans seeing her popularity and charisma allowed that to block her lack of abilities. She is great for what she's doing and what she's been through, but it's clear she isn't cut out for Kpop yet, she trained for Jpop. It's like training vocals and expecting to now be able to dance. They are different talents, so Sakura isn't "talentless", she is very good at what she knows how to do. HYBE should've trained them more before debuting, end of story.

Dua Lipa faced a lot of criticism and hate for her dancing skills and instead of saying: "I'm doing my best (girl bye), the most important thing is that I'm having fun, please don't hate :(((((,, ,she worked her ass out, and now she's praised for the progress she has made and called great performer. maybe SOMEONE should take notes....

The actual problem is there are so many talented kpop groups but people only approach those groups who are popular 😕 now people only listen to tik tok famous songs ,now it doesn't matter if you have talent or not if it is popular in tiktok then it's a hit song now lyrics doesn't matter....the graph of Kpop songs are just going down 📉📉📉 I used to like kpop so much due to its content and lyrics but now whole kpop industry needs recognition from western industry they are just loosing.I liked kpop because it was unique and interesting now it is becoming boring .

It’s a HYBE problem too. They care about charisma and dancing over vocals, they reached out to her to join lesserafim knowing her skills
