I recently learned that subscribing to the channel will make you a gilded nobleman in the eyes of the house of Age of Noob.

Fun fact the chivalric Order of the Dragon is where Dracula gets his name. Vlad the Impaler's father was part of the Order and was nicknamed Vlad Dracul (Vlad the Dragon). So when his son came to power he was known as Vlad "Son of the Dragon" or "of the Dragon", hence Vlad Dracula 🧛‍♂️

Just leaving a gilded comment for the gilded algorithm.

I think the variant civs can be summed up in one sentence. Bear in mind, this is the abridged version, so I still advise you to check them out for yourselves if possible. Jeanne D'Arc - You want to be a hero (unit). Ayyubids - You like eco bonuses, but you also want a bit more strength to your military punch. Zhu Xi's Legacy - You want resources, and lots of them, and Shaolin Monks too. Order of the Dragon - You want the best things money can buy.

I love how you rescale the units and constructions in your cinematics. Makes it much more realistic. ❤

Order of the Dragoon reminds me a lot of Nova from SC2 Coop. She had 100 max population but had elite units that were slow to get started but much stronger I wont be surprised if OotD has a lower population cap or each house only contributes 2 max pop or something

The villagers mechanic , looks like the Atlantean Civ in Age of Mythology . The elite military mechanic looks similar to Nova mechanic in starcraft 2. Would be interest to see how this combination works.

Just noticed something with the video of the farmers gathering. They were gathering so fast that the farm squares weren't growing back in time so the villagers had to move to another farm.

Many have tried and many have failed. You are the only non-Gernan from the known Aoe4 community who has pronounced Landsknecht correctly. 😊 Btw. I love your content

No mention of siege engines interestingly.

Some of the language around their units makes me wonder if some of them will cost more than 1 population…either way, the civ design is awesome and they look sick as hell

I'm excited for this one. I really like the idea of the more expensive and elite units, and I'm surprised that it extends to the villagers as well. It'll be really interesting to see how they play. Definitely going to be the first variant civ that I try out

Thanks for the video! From what you describe, the Order of the Dragon does sound similar to the OG Tootons in AOE2... but with Spanish supremacy baked in :D

I feel that Order of the Dragon will be my new main civ! I love straightforward civs and prefer to focus on microig units more than on the macro civ strategy. Less but stronger units are even more comfortable to me because since I like early-mid fights, a late game with 100+ units is a bit overwhelming to me. It looks like they will be just more tactic-like e.g Space Marines :D

My guess is that there will be just regular monks instead of prelates and the pop cap is 150 with houses giving only 7 pop. I also dont think they will get any bonus from relics. That means the aachen chapel has to funktion slightly different same as the regnitz cathedral. Influence system is maybe the same like in all variant civs i think.
