I've put this project off for too long, it's time to finally fix up the rest of my property instead of just the shop itself. It's long overdue, and a lot of work needs to be done to save it.

You know you're equally as old when at one point you wouldn't care about someone else's lawn but now will gladly watch someone attempt to repair their property.

I cant believe its been 3yrs that you have been at your new house. Feels just like yesterday you were working in the open shop talking about enclosing it.

It would be neat to see a collaboration with the LawnCareNut. I'm sure he'd be able to get your yard to the right level.

Leave the well pressurized, turn off all sprinklers, listen to each feed coming from the well. You'll be able to hear the leak.

I’ve been doing sprinkler repairs/installs for 20 years, I’d just like to say good job on the troubleshooting part, you did the best you could as a homeowner, 99% of the rest of average homeowners wouldn’t be able to do even half the stuff you did to troubleshoot. You also repaired everything correctly which is also something that most homeowners can’t do for some reason. From a professional I’d definitely say you guys should be proud that you were able to get the things done you did. Good job 👍🏻

I'm a big fan of the rabbit hole. My first thought was if you completely pull up the driveway you will find the leak and get a brand new driveway. Win win situation.

I love how Taylor sees problems and systematically breaks them down.

With all the pipe’s being brittle it might be best to start over. That way you can route it the way you want. The pressure seems low on the side where the trailers are. There might be more hidden sprinklers you haven’t found or cracked pipes.

Honestly Taylor I think you should dig up and replace as much pipe as you can because imagine the one by the side of your shop blows when your out of town and you come back and it’s flooded

I never thought about how much effort goes into a sprinkler system, my lord! Bloody enjoyable video though, well done Taylor

FWIW, when using a well for irrigation you'll want to size your zones to take at least 100% of water volume. If you undersize the zone (removing sprinklers, or change the head to lower volume) your well pump can cycle and shorten its life. You can oversize the zone and you'll lose some pressure/distance at each head, but the pump won't cycle. Just make sure the well pump stays running when each zone is on.

Probably a line coming from the house to the shop back when it was all well. Under the concrete. Try IR camera on a hot day to see the cool spot from the water?

Seriously, it’s awesome that you can be entertaining no matter what content you put out. This was out of the blue, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

You should get a smart controller for your system. It's so convenient to be standing in the middle of the yard turning zones on and off when you are troubleshooting. I have the Bhyve and it's great.

Pick up a rachio wifi controller or even a rainbird. Prevent those trips to the garage to test zones

Only this guy can keep me entertained for 34 minutes fixing his lawn irrigation. I do think that redoing the entire thing with semi flexible lines is the way to go for long term

You need to get with the guy who helped get the grass at the Freedom Factory started. That Scotts pro Vista is really nice and stays green
