Sonny John Moore was born on January 15th, 1988 in Los Angeles California. He was adopted at birth by family friends of his biological parents, but he didn’t find this out until he was 16, when he was confused for another child of this family friend at a grocery store. He reportedly hasn’t spoken to his biological mother in years. He spent the first 2 years of his life living in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, but he moved to the Forest Hill neighborhood of San Francisco when he was 2, where he attended elementary school. During his summers at the ages of 9 and 10, he attended a boarding school in the Mojave Desert in Las Vegas, and there was actually a pony that he would take care of and feed every morning while at the school. He even had to clean up its poop. After each summer in boarding school he would go back to Northern California, but when he was 12, his family moved back to Los Angeles, where he has been living ever since, and he now owns multiple properties in the area.
