This is an outstanding video and homage to this amazing group that has help shape my life and is currently shaping the lives of my children! Last Kiss, Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town, Just Breathe, and Not for You are lullabies at my house. My son has even gone so far as to have Not For You as his song entry for his hockey team's playlist in the dressing room... he is 7 (2024). "Dad I just love how angry Eddie sounds." This is a quote from when he was about 5 years old cruising around listening to PJ radio. Thanks again, Enjoy the Day!

Really enjoyed this video! It did scrach my Pearl Jam itch (anxiously waiting for the new album and summer tour). I got teary-eyed at least twice, learned a couple of things I never heard before and felt proud that I knew many. Well made and with a great comforting vibe, like meeting an old friend and talking for an hour straight. Thanks!

First of all ... Great job! I have clicked on your iceberg videos a couple of times recently while scrolling through YouTube, and although I did find the videos to be very well done and informative, I admit that I never opted to subscribe to your channel. It is very obvious that the topics you "iceberg" are well researched and you present information in a way that kept my interest and was very easy to listen to. Including this iceberg, on the band Pearl Jam, I have only actually clicked on your YouTube channel 3 times, maybe 4... So was undecided if it was going to be one I watch frequently or not yet, but this documentary on Pearl Jam won me over and I will be recommending your channel to my friends! I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and I was 16 when Seattle grunge bands first took off. I was totally resistant to Nirvana, Pearl Jam and , Soundgarden, because I was still obsessed with the hair/glam bands of my tween years, (guns-n roses, slaughter, Tesla, skid row, Metallica....) anyway, needless to say, it didn't take much to change my opinion about grunge/alternative rock however... Undeniably some of the best most moving, thoughtful, and intense lyrics as well as the gritty kinda raw, perfectly imperfect pieces of music came from the Seattle inspired grunge era... Pearl Jam however was never one of my very favorite bands back then... It was probably just because of that garbled singing style that really didn't do it for me and I would usually just change the station if Pearl Jam came on the radio... They did begin to grow on me over the years I the songs Jeremy and Better Man were undeniably fantastic, so I wouldn't call myself a hater.. just indifferent to Pearl Jam... Well, not anymore! I can't wait to revisit this blast from my past and check out some of there stuff I never even gave a chance before! What am amazing group of guys they are! How inspiring hear a story of a Rock band, that isn't filled with scandal, and conflicts, and backstabbing! How great it was to hear that these guys never let the fame and the fortune change their character! I love that they want to share their music with all of their fans and they stood up to Ticketmaster! These guys are huge and could easily sell out at large venues even still and they could get top dollar for their tickets! Like pretty much most other groups do... And act as if they don't know about that stuff cuz the managers and promoters handle that business... But Pearl Jam made sure they knew and they refused to price gouge their fans!!! Maybe bands like umm .. well, I won't name anyone because that would be rude and I also wouldn't know where to even begin! Anyway, thank you for telling this great story about such a great band! I look forward to checking out many more of your iceberg videos now that I am officially a follower and I did it... I hit that subscribe button! 😁
