I love the story of this album. It starts with you realizing that you have to be you but not knowing what that is yet. The whole album goes to the idea of getting out there and trying to figure it out with yourself and others. Then you end it by saying that there isn’t enough time to try to figure out who you are, and it’s better to just live it. Beautiful work

I'm 48 years old. My son is 23. He's been a huge AJR fan since forever. He's played me a couple of songs over the years and I've really enjoyed them but, last night, we went for a drive and listened to this album. And I was not prepared. Not prepared for the depth and power of the poetry. Not prepared for the layers of truth and meaning stacked and nested with each other. Not prepared for the sheer precision and purity of the craft, the way the music and structure comments on, builds on, and builds off of, the lyrics so that every single element of every single song is vital to the impact. Not prepared for the through-line, the way each song is perfect on its own, but then is also one step of a journey from "Who am I?" all the way through every kind of question to arrive at "Who I am is someone who asks who I am." The album is a circle because the act of finding meaning in life is a circle: you need it, you look for it, you build it from what you can find around you, you live it the best you can, you find it lacking, it's incomplete, you lose faith, it falls apart, you begin again. It's the human condition and it is both despair and joy, genius and idiocy, agony and ecstasy. It's been a long time since I've had the privilege to witness, to be so deeply moved by, something not only beautiful and true, but beautiful and true on its own terms, beautiful and true in a way nothing else could ever be because the beauty and truth emerge from its uniqueness. The world is a brighter place for me today, knowing this exists. Thank you.

Dear reader, I don't know you and you don't know me. Probably we are not even living in the same country. We look different. We speak different languages. Maybe we are from entirely different generations. We are just complete strangers. But there is something that connects us. We both have great taste in music Thank you for being here. God bless you, whoever you are. 💙:shelterin:

I love the message of this song. It says that you don't have to be something your not and the best you is the real you. Theres no point in wishing there were something else because there's not and everything is not always the way it seems. It's so deep and personal but so broad that it applies to all of us. Keep up the good work, AJR.

This is probably my favorite song by AJR by far. I had "The Entertainment's here" as my alarm. About 2 years later I played "Birthday Party" the day my daughter was born. Now, here I am 2 and a half years after that, dancing to this song with her now. AJR is more than just 2 or 3 minutes. They themselves create emotion in their songs that lasts even after the song is over. Thank you Adam, Jack, and Ryan for truly creating art!

I don’t even remember when I discovered AJR, sometime before neotheater, but they got me through the worst times of my life, and I’m glad to see that a lot of other people could get through with their music too. It’s amazing to see this band evolve and I’m so grateful to grow with them too. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, this album is going to be amazing. ❤

For those dealing with anxiety and depression: there's always a way out. Just be yourself. Be confident on yourself. You can get what you wnta in life as long as you put your thoughts and acts together to get it. This song takes you to the point to realize you don't need anything but being yourself to be happy and to achieve any goal you have in life. You'll win the battle. Thank you AJR for this masterpiece ❤
