The supreme beauty is that of tragedy, the consciousness that everything passes away, that we ourselves pass away fills us with anguish and this anguish itself reveals to us the consolation of that which does not pass away, of de eternal, of the beautiful.

To touch the places that great minds touched, or to be touched by the places that touched great minds? What a beautiful echo in the wheel of time. I appreciate the short video once in a while, as I have recently had my attention span decimated by the evils of Youtube shorts. A demonic addiction, even though mostly restricted to toilet trips. Thank you for sharing.

I hope you do this for philosophers of other eras as well! It's great that you put an effort to give historic context like that!

I'm getting deep into Regenerative Agriculture at the moment: it seems to have the answers to all the existential questions such as; food (security, fuller nutrition), water (sequestration, drought-proofing, mitigating floods, erosion), Habitat and Ecosystem preservation and extension (mainly for the predators of the pest species), reversing desertification (all man-made except Antarctica), regulating the carbon cycle (sequestration enhances all of the above, using solar energy, aka. photosynthesis). Which I am sure the original Stoics would understand. I was amazed by the resilience of the greenery we saw and would be more than tempted to 'extract' some seeds and take them home to plant in my own little 'temple', an honorarium if you can forgive the pun. I actually got goosebumps seeing the Spiritual Home of Common Sense. Jealousy levels now approaching 90%.

Great video. Super exciting (as a student of Stoicism). Could you consider doing a video that explains Stoicism vs Buddhism ?

I traveled to the Agora last year. I didn’t realise it was the birthplace of Stoicism.

Wasn't it a place where 3000 athenenians were executed by spartans? That's why Xenon was there, because it was a place where nobody wanted to go to due to the 'shameful history', and no one bothered him.
