I took my Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle on this route: Mussoorie, Dehradun (Uttarakhand), Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh), Meerut, Ghaziabad, New Delhi (Delhi). There were only border checks at Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Delhi, shockingly, was completely open - although Police and Paramilitary are at the Ghaziabad Border.

Loved this road trip! So many things about incredible India! Up in the mountains in the early hours, the sounds of the birds at sunrise so very much reminds me of India, the beautiful sunrise and scenery, the friendly police interested in the bike, the wonderful Indian welcome from Manisha and the family. Driving down these roads when it was still dark reminded me of the times we would land in Indonesia late at night from the airport in Jakarta and have to drive for 4 hours to Bandung... I miss my family there and I hope they’re doing well ❤️
