Groms name was always Grommash but there used to be a little lore tidbit that orcs didn't call each other by their full name out of respect. So when Thrall called him Grommash it was to talk down on him and lecture him as a child. And thus ends my "well actually" moment.

Reforged is decent proof that even with an easy, foolproof, and airtight concept, modern Blizzard still can't churn out a good game out of it. They aren't even making a new game with Reforged, they're visually remastering a nearly two-decade old game, whilst keeping the internals as it was.
This is like asking Blizzard to wash your car with soap and water, and somehow they ended up setting the entire car on fire a result. And then they pissed on it, because screw you.

The fountain of Health and Mana look incredibly sad in this version. The original versions of them have sparkling water, which make us feel relieved when we find one during the game.

Man, I actually thought that Reforged would blow a renewal wind into the Warcraft 3 scene, bringing with it new members for the comunity, especially for channels that focus heavily on Wc3 content such as yours and grubbys, etc... What could have been fruitful harvest for your loyalty and commitment turns out to be such a mess.

DotA and other custom map creators did a great service to WC3 to keep it alive.
And they are not even grateful.
DotA probably got patched more than the actual WC3 game did. I knew people that bought a copy of WC3 for a BNet CD Key just so they could play DotA on Bnet back in the day. They never even played 1 game of ladder and was not interested: Just attracted by DotA
In the later years of WC3, before HoN, DotA2, LOL and HotS, there probably was more DotA players on Bnet than ladder players.
And Blizzard never gave the support for a standalone DotA game even though it was obvious they should have collabed with IceFrog. And then get salty when they go make one with Valve?

WC Reforged serves as a tangible example of how Blizzard is no longer Blizzard. There was a time when Blizzard would rather wait for 3+ years to make a truly epic game (Warcraft 3) the philosophy was -- "WHO CARES how long it takes if you make it right it will be remembered/enjoyed forever". The current philosophy however seems to be "WHO CARES, just get it out the door" despite not even being close to ready, they assume people will just deal with it. But us older Blizz fans are used to quality right out of the gate... ya know that patented "Blizzard polish". What I can't understand is that of all the communities who would put up with a slow and old school development cycle would be the WC3 community which has existed largely ignored for years. Reforged was a great idea, but it's execution exposes the ever growing rift between a once community-focused developer and its pissed off player base.

How it all worked for me: > Play warcraft 3 every day > one day start it up and everything is gone > find out there was some sort of remaster in the works > struggle to explain my dad why he can't play that custom campaign anymore
