When my husband passed away..... this song was playing on the radio when I arrived at the funeral home to sign his cremation paperwork. I sat n cried , knowing this was a sign from him. When I went to pick up his ashes at the funeral home..... this song was playing on the radio when I turned the car key on. I sat n cried Every time I seem to need him.....this song plays on the radio for me. This song makes me feel my husband is near n still with me.

I believe that somewhere in the world, there are still people who feel the same deep and sincere emotions that I feel when I listen to this song.

I am happy that I lived in a time when bands like Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Beatles, Rolling Stone, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and many others played such great music.

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from hell? Blue skies from pain? Can you tell a green field From a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell? Did they get you to trade Your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? Did you exchange A walk on part in the war For a lead role in a cage? How I wish How I wish you were here We're just two lost souls Swimming in a fish bowl year after year Running over the same old ground What have we found? The same old fears Wish you were here

I was there! I was 14! My daddy took me, how many people can say that? My father was the best daddy there EVER was. God rest his soul. I can’t tell you a better time I’ve had in my entire life, I’m 40 this year. Blessed be you Pink Floyd fans 💜 Edit: Thank you for the beautuful comments💝. I used my boyfriend's YouTube, I'm not a 48yr old man 😂

I played this at my wife's funeral. Died suddenly at 53...... I'm still trying to live without her tenderness. I'm a 'widower'.....I hate labels. So, I'm now defined as a widower ...... 'wish you were here'. My Jane! R.I.P baby. Xx

My grandpa asked me to play this song at his funeral. At first, I was indignant, and then I realised that I would like the same thing myself. Its one of the greatest song in world history!

My dad told me as a kid when I used to complain about him listening to this type of music that I would understand, I’m 18 now and I understand. Love you pops.

None of us make it out alive. All we can do is hope that someone whispers in our honor "Wish you were here."

I'm 67 years young and grew up in the age of great bands like Pink Floyd. Of all the rock and heavy metal bands that I have always enjoyed, this is my personal favorite group. My brother and I were both huge fans. In 2014 my brother passed away and now when I hear this particular Floyd song, I think of him and cry like a baby. Such a great song and now it's a tough one to listen to. I usually get out the Division Bell album and listen to the song Coming Back To Life.

And now I'm here for my brother who passed away September 3. He was the most amazing older brother one could imagine. Hard working, musically inclined & sometimes too generous.
