how I view the versions of the song
V1 is the youngest of 3 siblings, loud and in denial because the the divorce between the parents.
V2 is the middle sibling, depressed and sad, accepting the fact that it just won't be the same.
V3 is the oldest sibling, not really seeing the views of the other siblings, but accepts everything with a calmer aspect than the others.

devil town v.2 the sadness/bargaining of it , accepted that it happened but still isnāt really over it

So I know it's probably about a divorce...But a lot of the lines make me think of the holocaust. The main one being: "we're all in our dressing gowns. Mines white and stripy yours is green and brown". Jews wore striped "pajamas" and nazi uniform was a greenish brown color. Then other things like: "We're all dead in devil town. That's fine, 'cause nothing's gonna scare us now". Not much explanation needed here. Also:
"I forgot my name again, I think that's something worth remembering". Referring to the number tattoos instead of names.
This is a pretty dark interpretation but I certian lines just make me think of it and it makes this song even sadder to me.

Here is super powerful to me
He was taking things kinda slow before, and this shows how much he still isn't over what happened. And then after it gets soft again, sadder. Then it gets powerful again, kind of like hes saying he can get over it, because he's stronger than he was in v1 and v2.

I agree with all your ideas of the versions but in V3 I feel like it's not just a calm older sibling. He seems mature and stronger, having dealt with everything with a more developed brain, he's been through the anger and the worry and grudges. This song reminds me of him talking to his younger siblings from a more experienced pov. Showing them it's not all bad and it'll get better. Trying his best to be the steady protection they didn't get from the parents. Being the almost guardian of his siblings brought a different more hopeful perspective to him. Like he's Trying to change the cycle but not forget where he came from
