It always amazes me that such a thoughtful, quiet and reserved gentleman was part of one of the loudest, most outrageous rock bands of all time. I know we (mostly) mellow as we age, but it strikes me that he was, at heart, like this back then too.

I remember being on holiday summer 1964 , at Butlins in Bognor. "House of the Rising Sun" was THEE BIG RECORD , even at just 7 yes of age I knew this was something very special. I love it now just as much as I did then. R.I.P Hilton Valentine ⚘
