People keep saying to me that exercise helps to beat winter depression, but when I'm depressed I don't have energy at all, not even to leave the bed

I got this right now. Everytime the sun comes out I go sit in the sun and then feel normal again for a few days. Lack of sun is very bad !!!!

That opening shot of the man on the bench just sums it all up. You can tell his mind is anguished. He's got all this energy but cant move.

When you stack SAD and pandemic isolation caused by lockdowns and working from home, it's very depressing. I think this is going to be one of the worst winters I have ever had.

Mines starting now because the sun goes down to fast and I fear the dark. And I also love being outside so this sucks and time goes slow as heck.

2022 was the worst year for me mentally. I went thru a breakup, had a bad sleeping schedule, lost friends and when it started getting colder everything just felt worse. January 2023 stuff still sucks but i’ve been feeling a little better by getting a wake up call from my dad to “Stop feeling sorry for yourself!” Maybe I needed to hear that..

Does anyone else actually feel the brain activity change? I feel like I literally feel the chemical disbalance going on in my brain whenever I feel depression kicking in...it's weird

Here in Seattle, the increasing duration of gray skies starts to drag me down in October.
