The mere fact that he invited you into his home to spend time with his family is a clear testament to the type of person he was. John's advice, viewpoints, and overall positive attitude are something that I am going to sorely miss as my fitness journey continues.
Huge loss for the community (regardless of discipline), but certainly for folks like you who had the opportunity to train and interact with him personally. I know that your time with him was well-spent, and hope that those moments light the path ahead for you.

I cried when Jeff said "did we become best friends," and John with his family at the end. I've been watching you for years now and every since you featured John on your channel I've been watching both. Never saw a man more passionate about fitness and helping others in the lifting community. John was a great bodybuilder, but an even better human being. I wish I could've met him, he will be truly missed.

Easy to get overwhelmed with all the experts out there. Everyone has a special tip, everyone has a different cue, everyone some little variation showing how bloody clever they are. But Mr Meadows never patronized his audience, never came over as a know all dick. He seemed like a big buff beast who was a nice guy. Always gave credit, always willing to concede others knew more. A real shame he has gone.

I never met John personally, yet I feel a huge loss with his passing. To me he wasn't a social media personality, rather he was very much like a father figure; this sounds ridiculous, I suppose. I came to his content, more than for his training information (which is fantastic), but because I had a bad day and needed some calm in my life. That is what John was to me, calmness, steadiness, peacefulness.

I've always felt that John influenced Jeff more than just about training. I mean Jeff's videos are much different, but they also have that calming effect, free of drama and avoiding people that take shots, just to the point and always positive vibes.

I’ve come to know John through you, Jeff. Thank you so much for introducing us to a legend within the sport and outside of it as well. He was an amazing father figure not just to his children but to many of his fans, loved by everyone around him and by all of us around the world. RIP John Meadows 🙏
