now what does the one's compliment mean? I know 2's compliment represents possitive and negative numbers but what does 1's do?

I'm currently writing a program that converts an 8bit binary number to its unsigned, signed, 1 complement, and 2s complement values, while displaying those values in their base 10 equivalents. You sir, just saved my ass.
